Together , we rise and shine to be the golden lampstand of God’s kingdom . We aspire to emulate Jesus Christ, caring for lost souls, promoting workplace evangelism, missions, and church planting. Walking with the Guidance of the Holy Spirit , we have established the Global Institute to equip disciples of Christ , and we are praying without creasing , ever-learning for life, striving to pass the torch of the Trinity faith to the next generation, enhancing the vitality and leadership of young people.

Our Vision

Our vision – the Golden Lampstand of God’s Kingdom in North America

The North American Church is the Golden Lampstand of God’s Kingdom.(Revelation 1:20)
The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out. (Leviticus 6:13)
And has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (Revelation 1:6)

Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.(Zechariah 4:6)

Our Vision: The churches in North America are the Golden Lampstand of the Kingdom of God, and we are called to be the light of the world – where we live. We love each other, serve each other, learn from Jesus to go to every city and village, preach the gospel, and spread God’s love. The Lord Almighty says, “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit.”

Our Mission

Since our establishment in 2015 , we have been responding to God’s call to become the North American golden lampstand , lighting the fire on the altar, and making our light shine in the world through the revival of Christians through partnership with the churches:

Evangelism: Cooperate with local churches to organize evangelistic meetings to promote church planting and spread the gospel of the kingdom “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”(Matthew 24:14)

Imitating Christ: caring for poor children and youth, working closely with partner organisations to enhance their vitality and leadership. (Matthew 25:40)

Promote spiritual revival: pray incessantly and establish a discipleship institute. Chinese believers in North America have to repay the debt of gospel we owed the missionaries who preached the gospel to the Chinese, an we cooperate with churches of all ethnic groups in the United States to preach the gospel to the local people.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”( 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)

What Drives Us

Faith Statement

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the infallible, authoritative Word of God, contains all things necessary for salvation.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly and transformative life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. Our Team

Pastor Abraham Chan

Founder

Pastor Abraham Chan is currently the founding pastor of the Golden Lampstand Association and the founding partner of the Global One-Room Church Network, committed to evangelism and discipleship training, practical theological education from local to global networks, and cultivating workplace and urban missionary talents for the kingdom of God. Pastor Chan believed in God at the Church in Hong Kong in his early years and was baptized at Bread of Life Christian Church in Taipei during his university days. After graduating from the Hong Kong Institute of Chinese Theology, he was ordained as a missionary by the Hong Kong Chung Zhen Church. In 2008, he received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Department of Theology at Boston College, specializing in the history of Christian doctrine and comparative theology. During his tenure at the Tao Fong Shan Christian Center in Hong Kong, he actively promoted the Mainland and Hong Kong workplace spiritual movement and the development of the China Business Fellowship. After moving to the United States, Pastor Chan was appointed pastor of the Diocese of Anligan New England in North America, actively developing the ministry of the North American Beacon of Christ, carrying out practical theological education through global institute, and equipping Chinese churches to fulfill their duties and build the body of Christ.

MRS. STELLA TSE

Executive Director of the Golden Lampstand Association

She has been engaged in senior financial administration in the insurance industry for more than 30 years and is now engaged in full-time missionary ministry in the workplace. In 2016, she co-founded the Golden Lampstand Association in North America with Pastor Abraham Chan and many brothers and sisters to respond to God’s call to North America and the whole earth. Her mission is to inspire disciples to rise up and shine, to cooperate with churches and institutional partners, to organize joint evangelistic activities, to establish a global ministry academy, and to promote the next generation of ministry for the next generation. She is currently the Executive Director of the “One-Room Church” micro-church planting campaign and is responsible for its administrative operations. She is also the current board director of Biddeford Christian Ministries in Maine, where she helps the ministry build houses of prayer and care for the needs of the community. She has also served as a deacon and ministry leader at the Chinese Baptist Church of Hartford, Connecticut.

The Executive Director’s sharing

Hello everyone, I’m Stella Tse , the Executive Director of The Golden Lampstand Association (USA) and I am excited to share our ministry with you.

The vision of the Golden Lampstand Association is to respond to God’s call: the North American church is the golden lampstand of the kingdom of God, to raise up and shine for the Lord, to preach the gospel to our neighbors.

In the past, a group of our co-workers have been committed to promoting the gospel spiritual training ministry, encouraging brothers and sisters to rise up and shine for the Lord, especially recognizing their identity as citizens of the kingdom of God, and being sent by God to immigrants to work hard to preach the gospel in their places.

A different immigration mission, the direction of life is refocused

I immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong more than 30 years ago, hoping to build a good family and life here. In 2015, seeing that many Christians in the United States were lost in pursuing the so-called American dream, the church population was aging, the society lost its former God-centered holiness and brilliance, and the next generation of young people was lost.

At this moment, God’s voice called our brothers and sisters to tell us that the church is the golden lampstand of the kingdom of Godthat has to rise up and shine for the Lord. The utmost touching thing at that time was that God did not forget us as an immigrant , but gave us a special mission and refocused our life direction.

The Lord calls us to be the overcomer of that era , the lamp is to be lit, and the fire of revival cannot be extinguished. Rekindle the fires, lighting the lamps, and passing on the torch represents hard prayer, holding various gospel activities, including holiday street evangelism, music evangelism, online gospel worship, etc., and training disciples through global institute to prepare the next generation to become the elite soldiers of Christ, and sending missionaries to bring the gospel to every corner. For the past few years, we have been following the flow of the Holy Spirit.

All the way to this day, God is truly the God who opened the road in the wilderness and the rivers in the desert!

Today I will share with you the new things that God has done among us recently.

Pray of unity and unity

Since God sent us immigrants to work hard to preach the gospel in our hometowns, we must connect with the local residents, so we participated in the joint prayer meeting with CT Arise , the local groups in Connecticut to pray with brothers and sisters of other ethnic groups. Pastor Abraham Chan, the pastor of the association, who led the prayer meeting. We also participated in the National Day of Prayer in the United States, and together with local pastors. We prayed for the blessing of the land of South Windsor given to us by God, practicing the action of unity among believers.

Heavenly Worship Online Gospel Worship

In 2021, we have established the City of Love Mandarin online gospel worship service. In 2023, in response to the needs of the times, we launched the “Sky Holy City” Cantonese online gospel worship service, aiming to serve the Cantonese-speaking people in the diaspora. Thank you to many co-workers and pastors for their non-stop service every week.

Peace to the Earth Local Gospel Outreach

Every August, we set up outdoor stalls at the Asian Dragon Boat Festival, using Chinese culture as a bridge to spread the gospel to passers-by and pray for their blessings. This year, I was particularly moved by many people who believed in the Lord, and countless people heard the gospel. One of the sisters who believed in the Lord was a young homeless person under the age of 21, and I asked him why he wanted to believe in Jesus. He said that he had been homeless and wandering on the streets for the past 18 months. He would not have survived until now without God . Everyone really needs Jesus!

From online learning to local study tours

The Association has established the Golden Lampstand Global Institute , which is an online discipleship platform led by practical theology. In 2023, we extended online learning to field study tours – “From May Flowers to Great Awakening”, with a total of 31 participants. We recognized that many America’s founding pioneers and Christian missionaries preferred to choose a difficult path, even sacrificing their lives in order to build a Bible-based nation and society. We also learned about the Great Awakening that calling countless sinners to repent and turn back, and seeing how the great work of the Holy Spirit . The Great Awakening also inspired us to rise up and shine for the Lord today, to be a city on a hill and to illuminate this dark world.

Pass on to the next generation

Last year, we convened the Connecticut youth ministry team and held the first joint youth activity in Connecticut. With a total of more than 40 teenagers and co-workers gathering, the youth could hear the truth message of the Lord Jesus in laughter through lively activities. More importantly, let the youth know that they are not alone in this path of faith. They also have fellows and peers . The purpose of the gathering is to enable them to resist peer pressure through fellowship and avoid the impact of social distortion.

We also serve children’s ministry in retreats – explaining to children the meaning behind the National Monument in the United States, explaining the relationship behind the founding spirit and our faith . Their parents are also deeply moved and inspired as the children performed stories that tell the story of the National Monument.

In addition, we also held the “Great Awakening Family Day Trip”, with a total of eight families participating. After the journey, we stopped to share learning together. Parents and children were open to talk and share their feelings and learning gains. Through this journey, we hope to deepen the relationship between families and enhance the dialogue of family faith sharing.

God gave the great awakening in Connecticut, USA

God’s guidance is often unexpected. And unexpectedly, we purchased a nine acres of land in South Windsor, Connecticut. It turned out that this land was the birthplace of Rev Jonathan Edwards of the Great Awakening in the United States. In response to God’s call, after prayer and planning, we will establish a mission base here, set up a prayer and healing center, enter the community for spiritual care, and prepare to build a mission training center that emphasizes both practice and theory. As a result, everyone can have the opportunity to learn from older and experienced spiritual elders to bring intergenerational missions in practice.

This is a long-term construction plan, and we need to do it gradually. The goal for 2024 is to prepare for the establishment of a prayer healing spiritual care center, with a budget of about $700,000 and to seek approval from the city for land use.

Praise intergenerations, great awakening

This year’s goal is to “Praise the Intergeneration, Great Awakening” to pass on the torch of faith missions by preparing the next generation. Malachi 4:6 shows that God wants “the hearts of fathers to turn to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers.” Through this spiritual transformation, we will be able to rebuild family harmony and bring about change in the workplace and in the city, thereby reviving our communities and nations.

The prophet Joel told us that the Spirit of God will be poured out on all flesh, your children will prophesy, your old people will have dreams, and the young will see visions. God will pour out the Holy Spirit on His servants and handmaidens. We believe that God is inspiring the inheritance of faith and spiritual awakening across generations, and to equip the Lord for His return.

Here, the pastors and co-workers of the Golden Lampstand Association call out to everyone that your prayers and dedication will become the power of praise for generational missions. Let us work together to respond to God’s call to embrace this great awakening that will change lives, families, communities, and even entire nations. We look forward to your participation as we witness God’s work together.
