The Coming Great Awakening: A Call to Prayer and Preparation

🕊️ I. At History’s Tipping Point: No More Waiting, We Start Now
Throughout every turning point in history, God raises up His people just as darkness closes in. From Jonathan Edwards leading the First Great Awakening to the Fifth Great Awakening—the “Jesus Movement” that began in 1968—every spiritual awakening in American history has occurred during moments of social crisis, cooling faith, confused hearts, and uncertain futures.
Today’s America stands at just such a tipping point: great power competition, the shadow of war, partisan division, cultural fracture, the AI revolution, the collapse of secular education, the hunger in young souls—these aren’t merely signs of the end times, but labor pains of a new awakening.
“We’re not waiting anymore—we start now!” We declare that now is the time for prayer; now is the time for preparation.
🔥 II. Signs of Great Awakening: The Flame is Already Lit Among the Young
Reports from the past five years show sparks of spiritual renewal appearing everywhere:
– The Asbury University revival lasted 16 days straight, drawing students from over 200 universities
– Major campuses like Auburn, Ohio State, and Michigan seeing students spontaneously gathering for worship, with baptisms happening in droves
– Reports that the percentage of young Christians in Japan has risen to 5%—something previously thought nearly impossible
– Churches in France and the UK recording historic highs in baptisms, as heavily secularized Europe begins to wake up
– Communion America movements spreading (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVSWX0YBO48)
– In America, latest surveys from Rasmussen and Barna show: 85% of young people believe in miracles, 66% of young people identify as “born-again Christians”
This is a shift in spiritual climate, a sign of God’s hand at work. This generation of Gen Z and Alpha isn’t as apathetic as many commentators claim; they’re just waiting for an authentic witness, a credible community, a church that will actually pray for them.
⛪ III. From Personal Revival to Social Awakening: The Church’s Mission
So here’s the deal: “Revival is God’s sovereignty; awakening is society’s response.”
Revival is God lighting the fire of prayer among His people; awakening is when that fire spreads through society, causing an entire nation and community to repent and turn to the true God.
But this revival won’t just happen automatically. It needs a group willing to get on their knees, keep watch long-term, and be ready to carry the load—intercessors and leaders.
In the Acts 2 church, we see twelve guidelines related to revival:
1. Jesus Christ is Lord — All preaching and worship points to the Son, restoring worship of the Triune God
2. The spirit of repentance arrives — Believers first confess to God, then lead the world to repentance
3. Souls are saved — Three thousand baptized as God’s first harvest in the New Covenant
4. Fervent prayer — They devoted themselves to prayer, hungry for the Spirit’s leading
5. Hunger for God’s Word — Daily study, hearing the Word, teaching each other
6. Authentic fellowship — Believers united in heart, living together, caring for one another
7. Radical generosity practiced — All things in common, welcoming strangers, caring for the poor
8. Signs and wonders — God’s presence made visible
9. Holiness — Believers set apart, not conforming to the world
10. Spirit of reverence for God — Real awe and glory within the church
11. Social influence — Enjoying favor with all the people, impacting culture
12. Numerical growth — The Lord adding to their number daily those being saved
These twelve points are the twelve directions for prayer warriors today.
🛐 IV. Revival’s Challenges: Three Trials Facing Today’s Church
1️⃣ Social but Spiritually Indifferent
Churches busy with activities but light on prayer, pulpits heavy on theory but light on confession.
→ Prayer: “Lord, first revive the hunger within us.”
2️⃣ The Trial of Secular Education
Since 1963 when the Bible and prayer were kicked out of public schools, three generations have grown up under secular, godless values.
→ Prayer: “Lord, let us restore public Bible education, let Christian home education flourish everywhere, let seeds of truth be planted and sprouted again.”
3️⃣ Building a Grounded Public Theology
Let Christian faith boldly return to the faith and theological foundations of the New World’s founding, rather than chasing cultural trends and losing our witness.
→ Prayer: “Lord, keep us from being co-opted by cultural currents; instead, let us repent rightly and be renewed by the Spirit.”
🌐 V. The Second Half: Flying on Dreams
May Christian Lampstand quickly enter the “Decade of Spiritual Warfare” mindset in 2026. Let’s pray for each other, focusing our energy and time more precisely, calling disciples for the Lord.
Our five-fold calling:
1. Apostolic Succession: Guard the gospel truth and vision passed down from the apostles
2. Intercessory Warriors: Build prayer networks
3. Kingdom Teachers: Redevelop global academy curriculum
4. Written and Media Content: Write and record spiritual experiences and prayers
5. Gospel Witness: Through word and deed, witness the gospel in the public square, call disciples among the next generation
We’re not talking retirement—we’re talking “renewal, networking, igniting, lighting lamps, passing the torch.”
🌾 VI. October Prayer Focus (Prayer Focus for October 2025)
Prayer for Leaders’ Renewal:
May God keep prayer leaders from burnout and retreat, renewing their lives like eagles mounting up with wings.
Prayer for XYZ & Alpha Generation Spiritual Great Awakening:
May this generation see truth, love holiness, and rise up as Christ’s followers.
Prayer for the Church’s Repentance:
May the Lord wake the American church from pride and indifference.
Prayer for Bible Education’s Return to America’s Public Education System:
May God open doors for His Word to re-enter public education and the cultural core.
Prayer for Revival Among the Nations:
May Europe, the Americas, Australia, Asia, Africa, and South America all enter a spiritual spring together.
✝️ VII. Conclusion: The Spirit’s New Wind Will Blow Across All the Earth
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” (Joel 2:28)
Today, we’re standing at the doorway of a new Great Awakening promise. This isn’t a prediction—it’s a calling. Not waiting, but preparing.
Today from New England, we call out to the children of God’s Kingdom: Let us declare ourselves golden lampstands of God’s Kingdom—keeping watch through prayer, witnessing through holiness, embracing through love, igniting the future through truth.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, we hear Your footsteps approaching this frozen land of the chosen people.
We’re not asking for new methods—just for You to show up Yourself.
Restore Your church, let Your people weep over sin, righteousness, and judgment,
May our sons and daughters be filled with the Holy Spirit,
May New England see Your glory again.
Use us—this generation and the next—
As vessels for awakening Your people to You,
Preparing the way for Your glorious return.

🔥 二、大覺醒的徵兆：年輕世代的火焰已被點燃
據報導過去五年，許多地方都出現屬靈更新的火花：
Asbury大學復興持續16天，吸引來自200多所大學的學生。
Auburn、Ohio State、Michigan等大型校園，學生自發敬拜、受洗成群。
有消息稱日本年輕基督徒比例上升至5%——這在過去是幾乎不可能的事。
法國與英國的教會的洗禮人數創歷史新高，原本世俗化嚴重的歐洲正在甦醒。

⛪ 三、從個人復興到社會覺醒：教會的任務
所以，「復興是神的主權；覺醒是社會的回應。」
復興（revival）是神在祂百姓中燃起的祈禱的火焰；
覺醒（awakening）則是那火延燒社會，使整個國家和社區悔改和歸向真神。
然而，這場復興不會自動發生。它需要一群願意跪下、長期守望、準備承擔的代禱者與領袖。
在使徒行傳第二章的教會，我們看見十二個與復興相關的指引：
耶穌基督是主——所有講道與敬拜都指向聖子基督，敬拜三一真神得到恢復。
悔改的靈臨到——信徒先向神認罪，然後帶領世界悔改。
靈魂得救——三千人受洗是神人在新約中的第一批果子。
熱切禱告——他們恆切禱告，渴望聖靈的引導。
渴慕神話語——每日查經、聽道、彼此教導。
真誠團契——信徒同心、同居、彼此相顧。
實踐徹底的慷慨——凡物公用，款迎遠人、照顧貧乏者。
神蹟奇事——神的同在以可見方式彰顯。
聖潔生活——信徒分別為聖，不與世界同化。
敬畏神的靈——教會內有真實的敬畏與榮光。
社會影響力——得眾民喜愛，影響文化。
人數增長——主將得救的人天天加給他們。
這十二項，正是今日祈禱勇士禱告的十二個方向。
🛐 四、復興的挑戰：當代教會的三個磨難
1️⃣ 樂於社交、屬靈冷漠
教會忙於活動卻少禱告，講壇多談理論卻少認罪。
→ 禱告：「主啊，求祢先復興我們裡面的渴慕。」
2️⃣ 世俗教育的試煉
美國從1963年聖經與祈禱被逐出公校後，三代人成長於世俗無神的價值觀之中。
→ 禱告：「主，讓我們恢復公眾的聖經教育、讓家庭基督教教育遍地開花，讓真理的種子重新栽種和發芽。」
3️⃣ 建立有根基的公共神學
讓基督徒的信仰勇於回歸新大陸拓展之初的信心和神學基礎，而非追逐時代潮流，失去見證。
→ 禱告：「主，使我們不被時代潮流收編，而是歸正悔改，被聖靈更新。」
🌐 五、人生下半場：乘夢而飛
願基督燈台在2026年迅速進入「再戰十年」（Decade of Spiritual Warfare）的狀態。請大家彼此代禱，在精力和時間方向擺放更精準，為主呼召門徒，。
我們的五重召命：
使徒傳承：守住使徒傳承的福音真道與異象。
代禱工師：建立禱告聯線。
神國教師：全球學院課程再發展。
文字影音：撰寫、錄製屬靈經驗與祈禱文。
福音見證：以言以行，在公共世界，見證福音，在下一代中呼召門徒。
我們不言退休，而是「更新、聯網、點火、點燈、薪火相傳」。
🌾 七、十月禱告的焦點（Prayer Focus for October 2025）
為領袖的更新禱告：
願神使祈禱領袖不倦怠、不退縮，生命更新，如鷹展翅。
為XYZ&Alpha世代屬靈大覺醒禱告：
願這世代看見真理、愛慕聖潔，興起作基督的跟隨者。
為教會的悔改禱告：
願主使美國教會從驕傲與冷漠中甦醒。
為聖經教育重返美國的公共教育體系禱告：
願神開門，使祂的話語再次進入公共教育與文化核心。
為列國的復興禱告：
願歐美紐澳大陸、亞洲大陸、非洲大陸、南美洲大陸一同進入屬靈春天。
✝️ 八、結語：聖靈的新風將吹遍全地
「末後的日子，我要將我的靈澆灌凡有血氣的；
你們的兒女要說預言，少年人要見異象，老年人要作異夢。」（約珥書 2:28）
今天，我們正站在新一波大覺醒應許的門口。這不是預測，而是召命。不是等待，而是預備。
我們今天在新英格蘭向神國的子民呼喊：讓我們宣告作神國度的金燈臺——以禱告守望，以聖潔見證，以愛包容，以真理點燃未來。

主啊，我們聽見祢的腳步，正走近這片冰封的選民之地。
我們不求新的方法，只求祢親自臨到。
願祢恢復教會，願祢的子民為罪，為義、為審判哭泣，
願我們的兒女被聖靈充滿，
願新英格蘭再度看見祢的榮光。
求祢使用我們——這一代與下一代——
成為祢使百姓大覺醒的器皿，
為祢榮耀的再來預備道路。
